WEDDING FUNDRAISER & UPDATES

*Update!* My parents have generously offered to send Dave and I to the Caribbean in the fall of 2011 to say our vows on a tropical beach! But because of the cost, our families won't be able to make the trip with us. This means that the wedding reception that I was already planning for the D.I.Y wedding project is more important than ever! Not only are we celebrating our love with this reception, but now we're also celebrating and thanking our families and friends for helping us make what I'm sure will be the most beautiful memories we could ever ask for!

All the proceeds from the fundraiser will still be going towards the D.I.Y portion of the wedding which will include making and sending the invitations, making wedding favors, food and decorations for the reception and hopefully, much more!

The Wedding Fundraiser Basics

Here's the deal, Dave and I [link] want to get married. We don't have a lot of money, and that's okay with us. We just want a small wedding that will serve it's purpose and leave us with some beautiful memories, unfortunately we don't even have the money for that. So I've decided that I'm going to make my wedding one big do-it-yourself project! I'm going to document my effort and progress all the way( you can even look forward to a few videos!) and create a kind of 'How-to' so others can do an under a thousand dollar (preferably about $700) do-it-yourself wedding too!

Like I said though, I haven't got a thousand dollars, not even $700. So I'm starting my d.i.y project with a fundraiser! I have a folder in my gallery called 'Wedding Fundraiser' [link] and every item in there is for sale and all the proceeds go towards the wedding project!

"But wait folks that's not all!"

Because I really am grateful to anyone who helps out with this project in any way, everyone who makes a purchase from the wedding fundraiser folder [link] will get to choose one deviation from my gallery to receive as a free 4x6 print and will be put on my "V.C.C" list, (very cool cats) to receive a wedding photo and hand made wedding favor after the wedding. Plus, all V.C.C's will receive a V.C.C membership card, periodic e-mail and snail mail updates, greetings, freebies and whatever else I decide to send out...annnd you'll also be the first to hear about the new projects that are in the works for the future!

Now to the technical stuff....you know where to find the fundraiser items ([link]) but how do you pay? Well I can accept e-mail money transfers (they're my favorite) as well as cashier's checks, money orders, personal checks (as long as it clears) and if you're feeling brave, good old fashioned snail mailed cash. So when you see something you want in the Fundraiser folder [link] drop me a note, let me know what you want, how you want to pay, and where you're located and we'll set it up!

Just send me a note, and we'll chat! (are you local or going to be in the area? Take a look at the cakes in my "Crafts and Baking" folder [link] and note me to talk about creating a custom cake especially for you!)

Not enough money in your pocket to share? no sweat. I'm accepting other types of donations too, and anyone who makes any kind of donation will also be put on my V.C.C list You can donate an item to sell in the fundraiser, or maybe you think you have something I may be able to use or alter for decorations, or even throughout The Wedding Project.
