Hi everyone! I haven't been around too much because it's been a hectic month! But when aren't the holidays hectic?

Just a heads up, on January 1st I'll be launching a fundraiser to raise money for mine and Dave's wedding. I've been crafting like crazy and I'll be submitting all kinds of new sculptures and paintings to sell in order to raise money for the wedding. I'll also be giving away free prints from my gallery with every purchase and putting every buyer on a list to receive a wedding photo and wedding favor after the event, because I really want to show my appreciation to anyone who makes any sort of purchase or donation towards my wedding.

Now I've seen some craziness online where girls are out right asking for money for their 'dream wedding'...that's not what this is. I'm not planning any elaborate princess wedding, I'm planning to do this wedding for under a thousand dollars from start to finish, and it's going to be one big Do-It-Yourself project that I will document and put online so others can have a do-it-yourself wedding for under a thousand dollars because I believe that the size of your bank account should not dictate when you get married.

You don't necessarily need money to get the wedding photo and wedding favor after the event, I'm also taking donations! You can donate an item to sell, crafts, jewelery, paintings, etc. Or maybe you have some old wedding decorations, place settings, fabric....pretty much anything! I'll be making everything myself, including decorations and invitations, and hopefully even my dress! So I'll need lots of things to reconstruct and lots of craft materials! I'd love it if someone would donate a DA subscription too so I can show thumbnails of all the fundraiser items right in my journal!

...Maybe it's a good thing that Doctor's lie...if they had told me back when I was 8 years old that 16 years later and after 5 major surgeries I'd still be in extreme pain, I probably would have tried to slit my throat with safety scissors.....

Wow! I just got home from FanExpo Canada's Festival of fear last night and it was incredible! I had a blast! For those that don't know I was working the expo as a Promotional Model for Vamp Productions this weekend. Vamp productions is an Independent film company that creates some really out-there movies!

I had the honor of working the Vamp Productions booth side-by-side with Director Kevin Sean Michaels and Actress/Filmmaker Alexia Anastasio! But that's not all! On friday night I was invited to the exclusive Rue Morgue party at The Gladstone Hotel where I was lucky enough to meet the ever-lovely Lady Gruesome! [link] Let me tell you folks, she's even more gorgeous in real life! She came over to say hello and said she recognized me because I was wearing the flower skull hair ties that are in several of my pictures here on DeviantArt. It was quite a thrill to get to meet her! I was so stunned that it didn't even occur to me to take a picture together until she was already gone...damn my swooning.

So, all in all the weekend was a total blast! A big, huge, gigantic 'Thank You' to my friends who really pulled together to help me get ready for the big weekend and helped it go along so smoothly. From taking me shopping and lending me clothes, to cat-sitting my precious Sadie, If it wasn't for you guys, the weekend would have been a stressful mess. And of course a very special Thank you to my wonderful Fiancé who put up with loads of terrible Toronto traffic, and spent three days wandering the crowded convention all by himself with very little sleep so that I could have this opportunity. Thank you for always being there for me, and always believing in me.

The annual Festival of Fear (Part of Fan expo Canada) takes place in Toronto this weekend, and this year I have the honor of participating as a promotional model for a wonderful little production company called 'Vamp Productions'! I'm quite excited!

So, even though my computer did get fixed, thanks to the husband of one of my very beautiful friends, it's dying again. Now it's the hard drive that's going. Sigh. We'll have to buy a new one sooner than later. So, just a heads up, if I seem to disappear at some point, everything's fine, my computer probably just won't turn on...damn machine...
